Buy/Sell/Trade Forum

As you may have seen if you read Cardboard History, I am trying to be more active and do things I always wanted to do but never felt good enough to do. I decided that I need to do them while I am at least partially capable of doing them. The drawback to that is that it's taking a major toll on me physically. As of right now, it's too physically taxing to get into my trade stash.  My brother has come up with a plan to put them someplace else with easier access, but it's going to take some time to implement that. 

I don't know how long that will take. It could be a couple weeks, it could be next year. We can't work on it at all if the ground is wet and it's rained 27 out of the last 40 days, so there's quite a bit of variable to it. 

Whenever we get that done, I will turn my Tradelist and wantlist back on. This year was on a record pace for trades but it needs to be put on hold for now.

I completely understand Billy. Do what you gotta do. I just turned mine back on about a week ago and people are already trying to overwhelm me. I just have to tell them that I do 1 trade at a time. I don't want to promise 2 people the same card when I only have 1 copy to trade. Have fun with all the activities you've planned or are planning!

Life and living it > cards, all day and twice on Sunday.  Do what you need, or even want to do, over worrying about trading.  Enjoy!

Billy and everybody else caught in this quandry.......

Yes, no doubt the hobby can consume you. Especially if you have other activities going on full throttle, still in reorganizing mode and trying to complete old offers and trades. AND foolishly start something else, like clearing out my Hockey and Basketball Cards. Of course, all leads to an end product, just takes time.

spaz, funny you mention about opening up trading lines again, mine are closed, yet I still receive offers. lol

I update offers and trades constantly, so members don't think I forgot them. cl_kyle is correct...full time enjoyment ! ......but with side effects. LOL 

I'm in the same boat.  With the nice weather here, plus a lot of work ahead helping my boss organize his cards for a charity auction later this year, I have little interest in looking at my own cards, maybe until winter.  I'm not an indoors kind of person.  Cards are a good diversion when I can't be outside.
