I have none within 40 miles on that site. Of course, I'm very rural.

Always looking for Blackhawk hockey, Notre Dame Football, White Sox and Bears Stuff. I have a plaque in my card room that says, "I could have been a millionaire but my mom threw out my baseball cards". How apropos!!! Collecting Chicago Blackhawks Hockey, Doug Wilson Hockey, Chicago Bears Older, Notre Dame Football in their college jerseys and Chicago White Sox.

I only have a couple more rows to work through. As usual there is a large amount of early 90's junk stuff but I also have a nice stack of 1995 Sportflix UC3. I had never seen any of these and they are the kinds of cards I really like. I love it when you pick up something like this and make discoveries like this.

Facebook market has been good to me the past few months. Found a guy selling every Topps, Donruss, Fleer, Score and Upper Deck set from '81-'94, traded and update sets included, in binders plus another couple hundred random cards for $200.
A rummage sale ad that had a stack of 100 EX '68-'69 Topps football that I picked up for $15.
But my favorite so far has been the stack of about 100 '61-'64 Topps baseball ('61 Spahn and Gibson were the noteables) some Jay's Publishing Yankees, a '39 Play Ball Carl Hubbell and '21 Amercian Caramel John McGraw and Zach Wheat for $80.
2 of these were rummage sale ads within an hour of me.
Not saying any of this to brag, only to show that Marketplace is a good place to find great cards and great deals amidst all the junk wax.

I hit yard sales and thrift shops as often as I can and I cant remember the last time I saw cards other than 90 donruss and 91 fleer for example. Maybe its the region I live in but I never seem to score anything.

A couple of things, first the LCS in New Jersey was where I scored the best purchases a total of five separate lots of about 60K in cards for a grand total of $95. I've lost count of how many I was able to add to my PC, and certainly about 90% of my Trade List came from those purchases. I haven't been able to find anything remotely close to that on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist (in either Texas or NJ). I haven't tried garage sales, but will have to do so.
Secondly, and this is just reiterating a preference in terminology - and I hope it doesn't hijack the thread. As a hobbyist I hate the term junk wax. It comes from an investment mindset that I do not partake in. I'm not offended by it, I simply don't see my endeavor in this as a way to provide for me financial, nor do I hope to recoup what I have spent on it. A similar term used synonymously is overproduced era, again, used in reference to investment. I rather see the high volume of production as good for the hobby so that more can participate.
Anyway, I just had to get point two off my chest.
Onward and upward toward finding those scores of cards.

I've been really trying to find a lot of the local Brewers police cards and have had pretty decent luck at the Antique Malls. There is one about 45 mins north that I spent too much money but need to get back there. I am going to travel WI this next week and hopefully the wife lets me look through more of the shops.

In another purchase, this one for $75 which included about a third of the oddball stuff I have in inventory I found two police sets. One I kept as it was a Houston Astros set that no one else shows owning, or at least didn't at the time, and another of the Portland Trailblazers that I sold on Ebay to a TCDB member in an auction.
