New to this site so not sure exactly how everything works.

I have noticed that the value of the 2011 Topps Update set is really high and I have 1 available if I can get the right amount in trade or cash.

interested in:  Topps baseball sealed base sets 2013 and newer, Topps baseball update sets 2013 and newer, Topps football sealed base sets 2013 - 2015, Topps baseball 1976 set, Topps baseball sets 1973 or older, Topps football sets 1985 or older

It will probably take a lot in trade but it's available for the right package (watching a couple auctions to see what they sell for but a couple others are listed for $2000+).

Sorry, I meant to say that if the trout is graded, I might be interested. But if its raw, I'll pass. It is one of the most counterfeited cards right now.

As far as counterfeit, I have had the set since '11 or '12 and wasn't worth much then so doubt if there were many counterfeits at that time.  If you know of a sure fire way to check, let me know and I can send you any pictures you want.

$2,599 PLUS $8 shipping???  I would gladly sell my traded set to ANYONE for a mere 2 grand and I'll pay the shipping!!!  What a joke...

When looking at ebay for pricing, it's best to look at SOLD prices, not asking prices. I took a quick look at sold prices. This is what I found

2011 Topps Update complete sets (with an ungraded Trout) have sold for as high as $1,476

Yes I agree and stated so above - "The auctions will be a better way to get the real value.".  I'm watching a couple and 1 is already 200 over the low you listed with 4+ days to go so I would be surprised if it went for less than $1000.

Definitely won't be a $1,000 out of my pocket.

I had a trout once, blackened. At one of Tillman Fertita's restaurants before he owned the Rockets. Didn't like it staring me in the face.

Watched some auctions and looked at past history - 7 2011 Topps update sets without graded cards have sold in the past month for an average price of $1236.  It won't be easy to find a trading partner but that's what I'm looking for in trade value.
