Why is everyone dissing this card? The front is exactly what many of you claim to want from a card and the back is only missing stats. I'm sure no one would complain much if it was a Griffey Jr. card! I'd want this card and the rest of the set just b/c he played for the Cardinals for a few years.

Most of you seem to forget that he was a pretty good player throughout the 1990's. He wasn't a superstar (or a Wonderkid), but he was productive and had a lengthy career.

As far as the Waterworld remark, you should just be ashamed that you posted that reference! Nothing is as bad as Waterworld!!!

Dress it up a bit with a border or logo and you've got a good idea for an insert set of players putting their work in off the field. The back can highlight a little bit of what each player does to prepare for a game or season.

"Why is everyone dissing this card?".    Because it looks like a photo of kid in a batting cage.   The picture is a big zero, zip.     And as for "only missing the stats"   The stats are half the card.   The other half is a guy in a uniform not his underweaer,  a logo, a team name, just so many things that this card lacks.    NEXT!

I'm with NJDevils on this one. The photo is poor quality (lacks focus), looks like there was a logo or something on his shirt that was poorly airbrushed (white-blocked) out, no player name, team, or position, absolutely nothing to identify it, and the back well, no stats (anywhere in the set), the card number (xx OF    16) lacks proper justification, and the blurbs are lame (4 cards showing various positions of one swing?). Please, think of the trees. Those poor trees.

How many beers had Spaz drank by 1:19 AM when he defended this card? (I'm kidding, and I think he was too...)

Actually, I liked Jefferies in STL.  He bridged the gap at 1B between Pedro Guerrero and John Mabry, if I remember right. Even started an All Star Game as a Cardinal.

That being said, I think Card #9 might have been more fun to diss!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff.  Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Did Gregg Jeffries get his mom to make this?
