“ Positive: this card accurately describes the scene of the movie. I do wish there were more random movie card sets these days. ” -ketchupman36

“ I'm positively positive this is a card I would never collect in a million years (positive or negative nine hundred thousand nine hundred ninety-nine years). ” -OCHawkeye

“ This is the greatest trading card featuring a whale that I've ever seen! ” -trauty

“ I'd like to join Willy for a swim, that'd be cool. ” -Gunny

“ Ride that whale. ” -carthage44

“ Uh, is that a real orca? If so, cool. ” -IfbBirdsCards

“ Everyone looks like they are having a whale of a time ! Nice movie card. ” -uncaian

“ The "water theme" on both the front and back make for good continuity between the sides. Nice use of a still from the movie. ” -vrooomed

“ One of the relatively few movies I've seen more than once...I actually gave a sealed box of this set to my brother for his birthday circa 2011. He gave me the duplicates. ” -Billy Kingsley

“ That's a nice Bugs Bunny on the back of the card. ” -C2Cigars

“ Loved this book growing up. I always find movie cards interesting and this is no exception. Go Willy Go! ” -jasongerman9

“ Free Willy!!!! That's what she said!! ” -RoyalChief

“ I really appreciate that they were able to keep Keiko alive for this shot. ” -parsley24

“ This card makes great kindling! If there ever was a perfect card to use to start a fire, I am positive that this would be the one! ” -YoRicha

“ Well, the water is fine. ” -sahal694

“ Non-Sport Movie card of a sequel of a movie that was not a huge box office smash, but is family friendly. Front design is nice and simple, movie logo up top and a fun title at the bottom, back has nice short description of the scene on the front. Easy to read card number. ” -captkirk42

“ The water's fine...except for that killer whale right there. ” -royals

“ I really liked the blue border around this card set. The blue back is nice too. ” -jupiterhill

“ Positivity. Must think positive thoughts, despite my suspicion that this card was not random, but rather strategically chosen to be paired with today's theme. I love the wavy lower borders on both front and back. There. ” -dilemma19

“ Couldn't be a better card of the day for this theme!!!! Let's see. I do like the Bugs Bunny on the back, but that does not count. It's a nice centered capture of whatever was happening in the movie at this point, they centered the person on the shore, captured the kid riding the whale, and got all of the whale protruding from the water, so a nice job getting this all into the card. ” -muskie027

“ Wow that water is so fine. It's the finest water I've ever seen. Incredible. It's like a '52 Topps Mantle, if a '52 Topps Mantle was better. ” -switzr1

“ Would a little water damage do anything in lowering this card's value? ” -DanD

“ This card made me think of John Pinette and how funny he was with all his stand up so it made me smile.... "it was a medium tube at best...." ” -ntlwhlr

“ Positive...Well I guess Willy is kinda cute...for a godless, soulless killing machine. ” -rmpaq5

“ I really like whales ” -Bargunmaster

One thing I just thought of now, or remembered anyway- this is one of the few sets made for a movie where the sequal has a card set but the original does not. (It was a far better movie than the original, and the third movie, ugh, terrible)

And yes, that was a real whale.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.

Skybox truly was able to capture an amazing tribute to an amazing photo of one of the best known clade of aquatic mammals. Fun fact about whales is that they are believed to be relatives of even-toed ungulates and I bet you never knew that they hold the hippopotamus as their closest living relative. For real !!

Billy, that makes me think of the Rocky movies, which have sets for Rocky 2 and Rocky 4

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff.  Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
