The 1990 topps 1000 yard club tiffany cards were recently added to this site. My question is how do you tell if it is a tiffany card? There were already 4 variations of this card prior to the tiffany ones being listed. The 4 variations are 1 asyerisk, 2 asterisks, disclaimer back 1 asterisk and disclaimer back 2 asterisks. Can snybody tell me the difference?

Tiffany cards are always glossy, but I think 1000 Yard Club cards are always glossy too,  so that's a very good question!

"Tiffany" was only a nickname. It was given by hobbyists to describe Topps' glossy, white cardstock version of their cards.  Which were sold separately as factory sets. Since all the 1990 Topps 1000 Yard Club cards were glossy and printed on white cardstock, there is no separate "Tiffany" set.  Someone might want to ask the creator of the listing where they came up with it.

I did ask kyle clark and he said the regular ones are very drab and the tiffany are very white. I have thousands of these and just wanted some clarification if there is another version

I remember creating this set listing. It came from one if missing set reports in the inaccuracies report. I don't specifically remember where I got it, but I don't create sets or checklists as a rule from the inaccuracies report alone but first find some confirmation evidence elsewhere.

The Tiffany set specifically mentions that it is a parallel to the 528 card base set and was issused only as a factory set.  If there was such a thing as the 1000 yard club in Tiffany form, how were they distributed?  The "base" 1000 yard club cards (glossy & on white card stock) were inserted into wax packs.

In my limited research, I would say there was no such thing as a parallel Tiffany 1000 yard club release.

This is the problem with the "Tiffany" nickname.  It was not a name created by Topps.  Topps never called nor referred to any of their glossy, white cardstock cards as "Tiffany".  It was a nickname created by collectors to refer to the premium (glossy, white cardstock) factory sets Topps offered back when the gray cardstock was their norm.  Yet, many collectors who weren't around back-in-the-day think "Tiffany" is an official Topps set name.

The 1990 Topps football regular-issue 1000 Yard cards were released in packs and were glossy and on white cardstock.  So, by definition, there cannot be a separate "Tiffany" set.

I got ya, so when I found the other info using the Tiffany name for the set they were using the knickname. If this is the case then yes you are most likely correct and the set is a duplicate listing.
