I'm all for reprints if done in a certain way, like having 'reprint' stamped on the card somewhere. But this is just straight up counterfeiting.

The seller has a ton of fakes up for auction. I've reported them, maybe you will too, but we'll see what eBay does.

Agree 100%. This is the kind of junk that wrecks this hobby. Hopefully no one will bid or buy, but the sellers should be shamed to try and put such crap on the market. Soon you won't know whether you are getting an original or copy of anything.

If I were the conspiratorial type, I’d say the grading companies are making the fakes to enhance their own product. I won’t buy an expensive card from eBay now unless it’s graded. Just to have some “assurance” of authenticity. But I still hate graded cards.
Worse than the ones shown are the cards that are “aged to look like originals.” I appreciate the honesty, I guess, but that means they are just selling to people who can turn the cards around and try to sell them as actual originals.
Makes me sad.

IMO, any card (or item), manufactered by anyone who is not the licenced rights holder is a counterfeit, not a reprint. Sellers of such garbage should be banned and charged.

~Rob~ Hockey set collector including inserts, ERR, COR, VAR. Knowledgeable about 1968-69 to 1994-95 hockey. All 1990 and newer cards for trade are NRMT. Expect the same in return. 1989 and older are assigned a grade. Everything on my trade list is available for sale. Reasonable prices based on condition. If it's not on my tradelist, it's not available.

I report counterfeits all the time. Never seen them removed. So I assume ebay doesn't care.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I despise that sellers can get away with less than honest ad headlines on eBay to entice unsuspecting bidders. If a product advertised is anything but 100% original I beleive it needs to be part of the ad headline. These sellers justify these ads by burying the fact it's a reprint somewhere in the body of the ad. If I'm looking for 1933 Delong cards do I really need this to come up in my search?

My Autograph Collection Website Emphasis is on the 1969 Cubs. This is still a work in progress as is my collection here at TCDB. Value what you collect, don't collect for value.

It's disgusting what some people will try to sell. Yesterday I saw listing for a Jose Bautista "custom auto card." What the seller did (and he openly mentioned it in the description) was peel the sticker auto from one card and put it one another card. The "custom" card clearly shows a hack job of sticker with piece of wrinkled clear packing tape over it. He did include both cards in the auction though. Sheesh.

People who do these types of fake/reprint cards are doing it ti rip people off. It is worse when they do a "facsimile" autograph. If they are making these cards for fun it should be marked as a reprint or ACEO card so that there is no question.

Oh, I hate those things. There are a bunch of "reprint" Tom Brady rookie cards on eBay- and, unfortunately, people do bid on them. And I've also seen those goofy "custom" autograph cards where the sticker was apparently taken from some official release.
