Hi everyone, I'm a fairly new member here, but I'm realatively well known in the non-sports collectors groups on Facebook, mainly GPK and Wacky Packages. Anyway, I've noticed that there is no entry in the databast for the 1979 Fleer 'Crazy Labels' parody sticker card set, which was Fleers 'day late and a dollar short' attempt to cash in on the already-finished Wacky Packages craze of the mid 70s. Even in the world of Wacky Packages collectors, I appear to be alone in having managed to put together not only the full first print run of the set, but to have all six of the replacement cards Fleer issued in a very short second print run (in short, Fleer didn't have the clout Topps did and were barraged with C&D orders, so they issued six new images to replace the contested products, but gave them the same card number - you can see the first and second print versions of card #6 in the scan below). I've been trying to figure out how to add a new set but can't seem to find a clear answer. I had made scans of the fronts for my own use, but will scan the backs and sort them into individual images if I'm able to add this set. Thanks for any help!

If I recall correctly this set can be a nightmare for the database. As the sticker side didn't match the back "card" side. I don't know how many variations there were, some "stickers" had two or even three "back" variations.
Here is one site that helps a little: http://www.bubblegumcards.org/Crazy%20Labels/CrazyLabels.html
I checked Jeff Allender's House of Checklists but couldn't find it listed. Unusual.

Yeah, they did something very odd with this set, having the sticker on one side, and as you say, a matte 'card' version on the back. But it's not quite as complicated as it's made out to be. The backs are in the same order as the fronts, but reversed - so on the back of the first sticker, is the card version of the last sticker, and so on until the set meets in the middle. The complexity comes from the five (I misspoke when I said six) replacement cards - the replacements themselves have the same 'mirrored' back as the original of that number, but they changed the back on it's corresponding 'sticker' card. I'll be honest, it took me over two years to track down the last of the five variation stickers, and haven't had any luck finding the five back variations, so I've decided this is good enough for now, but if I can figure out how to make a checklist, I will add that information. Sadly, I don't have Excel, so I'm trying to find a way haha.

With non-sport, it's easy with text:
number [space] card name
1 Card A
2 Card B
3 Card C
etc.
As long as there are no spaces in the card number itslef, this method will work very well. The only thing, no notes. They'd have to be added after upload (and I'm not sure if this set requires that for anything more than the VARs).
Additionally, you may want to look into Open Office. The file just has to be in Excel format, it doesn't have to be created in Excel. I haven't tried it, but maybe even Google Docs might work??
Good luck and welcome.

I think I have a grasp on this set and I'd be happy to do the checklist. According to the Fleer Sticker Project and Non-sport.com this is a 64 card set with 8 Variations.
It's pretty straight forward, at least in terms of Fleer stickers.
AtarianX...If you would like to try uploading a checklist, I'll hold off.
EDIT: I went ahead and uploaded the checklist. I could only find 4 variations referenced anywhere. If you can provide the details on the fifth variation I (or someone else) can add it.
I numbered the checklist using the sticker number. I noticed that there is some variety in the numbering scheme depending on what reference you use. I figured since this is a "sticker set" the sticker number takes priority.

Open Office kept crashing on me, so I found LibreOffice which is also open source. And you can save files in a milion formats including all the versions of excel. So you can get a free program to use instead of excel if you look around.

I'd be very happy for the help, actually! Thank you very much. I'll make the scans and upload them whenever you get finished with that, if you'd like.
And thanks for the welcome everyone!
