Would the following define a parallel set
Same year. Same set name. Same size. Same players. Same player pose. Slightly different front and back.

Usually same back, although suppose it could be "slightly differerent front and/or back".

Yeah I'm not sure about backs, that might be considered a variant. I know that it seems plausible but in my years here I have a gut feeling that if its the back only it may be VAR. Goos question that someone better than I can answer diffinitive.

My understanding is that the back 0f the cards are the same, just the front is diffrent. To my knowledge, the front picture and information is THE SAME, just the color of the card is diffrent.
You may have heard of people chasing " rainbows".....this is the same card with many diffrent color fronts.
Please also note that the material card as in " original stock" with the same picture and info also meets definition.

Dark Logo backs, different color ink backs, different cardstock backs (white, gray, cream, etc), intentional blank backs, etc. To name a few examples where the backs can be the only difference.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

The set in question is 2000 USPS Legends of Baseball Postcard. The set I have lacks the USA 33 cent postage, the players name and does not look like a stamp on the front. Player picture only. On the back the only match is the player write up. Mine has no USPS logo, but does have a small 2000 USPS copyright. It is also a prepaid postcard. USA 20 cents postage with the players pose from the front.
I have a checklist ready to go, with all 20 cards scanned front and back. Just not sure what to call it and where to put. Seeing as the packaging for mine is the same as the TCDB set. 2000 USPS Legends of Baseball Postcard. Just different fronts and backs.

Sounds like an unlicensed knockoff. If they're using the exact same stamp image artwork, that's copyrighted by the USPS. And cannot legally be used without permission from the USPS.

I purchased it from the Post Office in Cooperstown in 2000. The packaging states that it is The US Postal Service Ready-to-Mail postal cards. It also has the 100 All Century Team logo.Inside is an ad with a 1-800 number and a web site where you can purchase this set, a 20 First Day Issue Covers, a Pane of 20 legends of Baseball Stamps and a Matted Pane of 20 Legends of Baseball Stamps. I do not think this is an unlicensed knockoff.

You're correct considering where it was purchased. If you had purchased it on ebay, there would have been doubt.
Learning more of the details, I'd lean towards a parallel.
