I was looking at some of the high number prices for this set and they have a group of cards with no number and blank backs.  Were  these just misprinted or are they actually cards from this years set not included in the rgular issue???

Just printing glitches. They are not catalogued on this database. There are collectors who like this type of printing error, though.

I bought a lot of cards a while back and it had four 1973 Topps football cards in there with no front on them. To me they feel like they are only half a card.
