So im not really sure what to do in this case, i made a trade with Brimose (brian) about 6 months ago, i sent my side out he received it, but never sent his out. At the time he told me he was having some problems and i told him to take his time as family comes first. I never gave it much thought but  have had no contact since 03/04/ 2018 and have sent him repeated messages to let me know whats happening, i see other people have left negative feed back, but im just not sure, never had this happen before

My initial thoughts - 

1. I hope Brimose can chime in and straighten everything out here.

2.  I'm sure everyone has to draw their own line in the sand as to when a negative feedback is warrented. If you have gotten to the point of writing the cards off as a loss then I would say go ahead.  If you want to keep the trade uncompleted and hope that a resolution can still be found I would hold off on feedback.

This seems so familiar. Did you ask basically the same thing a few weeks back? Maybe it was another member? I looked at the profile for Brimose and I don't think he has been on this site since April. If that is correct I would say it seems unlikely that you will see your side of the trade come in. If it were me I would just accept that you won't see these cards. Feel free to leave negative feedback or not because I doubt it will change anything. I would probably post negative feedback just to have that member noted as not sending but odds are he is never coming back and if he does it will probably by under a new member ID. Bring closure for yourself on whatever you see fit and put it to rest would be my advise.

There was a thread a while back posted by another member who was very upset with Brimose for not upholding his end of the trade.

He posted this thread back in March explaining in brief his personal situation. As someone mentioned before (in a prevously deleted thread), he was quite a collector; I don't think he was intentionally trying to rip people off, nor do I think he concoted the story about his daughter to rip people off. 

Negative feedback is negative feedback. It happens. We've had members bounce back from negative reviews drastically before. If you want to leave some you can, but ultimately if he does come back to this site I'm sure he will be able to regain good standing and may even be able to complete your trade/make it up to you.

Tough call. It's past the period of time he mentioned that he'd be "off the grid", but one can never tell when it comes to how life can take an unexpected turn. Hopefully his daughter's condition hasn't gotten worse and that's why he's still MIA. If you've been messaging him, he should have received email notifications about the messages even if he hasn't logged onto the site. He could (maybe should?) at least take a minute to reply and explain his situation, but again we don't know what might be happening. 

My opinion is that a negative feedback would be a bit harsh. Maybe just keep the transaction hanging in the hopes he comes back. At worst I'd leave a neutral but include an honest, non-judgemental comment explaining what happened.

Not necessarily. I have my email notifications shut off.

Exactly what I was going to mention. I also don't get email notifications from TCDB. But I check this site more often than I check my email anyway.
