Is anyone else collecting cards from this set? I've been able to put together ~40-50% of a checklist from cards I have on hand and the PSA pop report, but need some help filling in the rest of it. I'll do some hunting on eBay to fill in some gaps, but after that, short of purchasing an album will be out of resources.

Thanks for looking! I'll have to try and get a login there and need to check https://www.todocoleccion.net too. I found this album on eBay, but I don't think it's the correct set (numbering and athletes are a bit off in the pages from the cards/cromos I have) https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-COMPLETE-STICKER-Album-for-Futbol-Soccer-ASES-MUNDIALES-1980s/163232396460
I have another lot of 100 on the way from Spain, but I'm guessing they will mostly/all be duplicates of what I already have based on my past few purchases.
256 sounds correct, they're organized alphabetically by last name and I've got a #251 that's in the 'Y's.
As far as Spanish sets go, I'm also on the hunt for a checklist and/or album for this set if you happen to see one:
I'm working on a lot of checklists for Euro sets that include any Seve Ballesteros cards, stickers, whatever.

I know partial checklists are frowned upon by several members here after digging up some past threads, but I'm not sure I'll ever figure out all of this one. I'm still 123 short of the full 256, so just over 50%. Can I get credit for filling in one of the other 1970s partial checklists?

To me, there's a difference between uploading a partial of a difficult, old checklist that nobody else likely has, and uploading a partial of the readily available checklist of a new set using only the cards you got in your blaster (which makes it much more difficult for someone else to complete it). This is an instance where I would have no problem with a partial checklist. As a matter of fact, since I don't own any, I likely would never notice.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

At just over 50%, I'd ask Admin. They may give the okay.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Just be sure that if you get the okay, to include the cards that are missing names:
1 - Joe Schmoe
2 - TBA
3 - John Doe
etc...

OK, after way too many hours of brushing up on my Spanish and searching their local eBay equivalents, I've been able to get the checklist pretty close to complete 255 of 256! #183 is the only one I've been unable to identify and have placed a 'TBD' for that one. Should it be OK to request a set add and use the checklist now?
