That’s great! My 4yo and 2yo are always coming over to my card table asking for cards. I keep a stack of low grade duplicates to give them. Can’t start them too early!
Great idea with the unwanted commons/dupes.

I posted a while back of my 8 yo boy ripping some Pokemon packs. He has also done some TMNT stickers and Wacky Packs. He sorts them then sleeves and puts them in pages. It is awesome. The Pokemon usually endure a slow death as he uses them at school. Unless mom puts them in the uh uh pile and keeps them in the look but dont touch cases as he calls them. =D
My 8 year old is into Pokemon as well and most of the cards are shredded. I see sleeves in our future, and it will help him learn to take care of things. Small lessons...

I've shared before, my nearly 30 year old son learned to count by helping me sort cards when he was 4. He loves baseball, baseball cards and collecting. I'm happy I'll be able to pass my collection on to him some day.
That is really cool! I have a 4 year old as well and anticipate similar opportunities in the future.
