I just won an auction for a '72 Topps #436 Reggie Jackson in NM/NM+ condition for $7.25 ($3.75 bid + $3.50 shipping), BUT I fell for the listing which showed six '72 Topps cards - and all I saw was the bid amount, shipping cost and an opportunity to get some nice cards (Jackson, Billy Williams, Maury Wills, and Johnny Bench). To the seller's credit (reluctantly given) the description does state "PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU ARE BIDDING ONLY ON WHATEVER IS BEING DESCRIBED IN THE TITLE!!", in red no less!

Still I'm happy with the purchase, but I thought I was getting more. Read, read, read, first before bidding. 

Edited to correct card number - it was the In Action card - "sigh" but still happy.

Those kinds of listings are one of my biggest pet peeves. Are you really too lazy to spend literally 2 seconds to crop the image? 

I will not buy from those sellers. If you don't care enoien to do it right, you aren't getting my money.

You're being kind in your assessment of them being lazy. I'm leaning more toward it being a sales tactic that worked this time. I hope to be more careful next time.

The old bait and switch...I didn't think of that.

And almost everyone of those sellers has numerous Negative feedbacks about the deceptive listing.  Even though the sellers do make it somewhat clear the listings are for only one card, it's still misleading.   A case of the images not matching the description.

Fool me once...

It reminds me of advertising that shows an item being used and the pitch man says quickly,  "blah, blah, and blah sold separately." Of course the analogy fails in that those other cards weren't needed with what I bought. 

The bottom line is I'm at fault for not reading and jumping in on an auction with two minutes left.
