Agreed
If you want to pursue, you may want to ask for pic of back.
If back looks good you may want to put under black light to see what paper under surface looks like compared to an original in your collection

Probably fake, but not positively fake. $5/card isn’t insane cheap. Check them out and follow advice above.

I've pay as little as $2 per card for a number of 52 and 53s that are real, but they were all commons. Those 12 cards include Campanella and Mize which book for $300 and $80.
Maybe as someone else said try to get a look at the back and see if they are the 1991 reprints. Or ask for a measurement on each card because the 53 set was larger then normal sets.

Backs would definitely be the primary tell-tale as they'll say "Topps Baseball Archives".

If I was near by, I would definitely go see them. Yes, sounds too good to be true but I have found some unbelieveable deals through Kijiji and Craigs List. Sometimes the person just wants to clean house and doesn't realize the possible value.

Thanks guys you’re a wealth of knowledge! I’m a little out of my element with the vintage stuff. I sent an email requesting back pictures. We shall see.

Ah. I neglected to click on page 2 of the photos, so didn't see the HOFers. Those would make the $5/card seem pretty sweet. I have that Mize. It cost me much more than $5.... I stick by my assessment that they're probably, but not absolutely certaintly, fakes/reprints. More info is needed.

Fakes/reprints normally have better centering than a couple of those. There's enough wear and PDs visible, I'd vote 'likely good'. I'd be most concerned about trimming. As always, caveat emptor.

ah trimming, good point...it is always good in these situations to bring an actual example from the set to compare size
