Recently, I found some sets that are missing a few cards for completion...some STARS, some commons.
Just curious----Who would you buy from? Who gives the best deals? Who doesn't soak you for s/h?
You could also mention a few "stay away from" dealers
Interesting to see how they get rated by our members. Please leave a link for any lesser known dealers.
Please rank in order, probably @ 5.
Thanks.

What sets? I've still got a lot of inventory to add here and might be able to help out..
I've had good luck completing some sets w/a combination of the 'Pick xx to complete your set' type listings and grabbing any stragglers from COMC. Burbank isn't bad if it's a set where the commons are worth at least $0.99 to you. For older sets, I like to wait for set breaks from Greg Morris or others who frequently do them.

I have picked up commons and stars from CardBarrel.com (when they wer justcommons.com) and found their pricing to be reasonable (including their free shipping threshold). For newer cards, sportlots is aslo good, if you can find one or 2 dealers who have what you want (and have good postage policies). For the older cards, that can be pretty hit or miss. Like Kyle, I have a rather extensive inventory of star players (as well as commons), and, depending on the sets, may be able to help you.

I concur about Greg Morris. All cards start at .79 bidding and they don't overgrade the cards. Sometimes you can luck out and pick something up cheap. They are one of the few dealers in my Favorite Seller list on EBay. Same shipping for however many cards you buy and you can combine it over multiple days (I think within a one week period).

Agreed with Dan on card barrel.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Bob, you can always check with me if you need anything non-vintage (after 1979). I don't have much from the early 80's or from after 2010, but I have tons in between and a bunch of stuff is not listed on here right now.
As for online dealers on other sites, I've dealt with many that are good and only a few I won't use again. Dean's Cards and Burbank are the tops of my DON'T list. Burbank has always been overpriced, even since the days of them buying ad-space in the Beckett Magazines before the internet was wide-spread. Burbank lists everything at exactly the "Book Value" that Beckett lists PLUS shipping on top of that. I've hated them since my 1st purchase from them (which was actually a hobby box and not singles). There are a half-dozen cards in my Ebay Watch List from Burbank. Not a single one has sold in 6 years and not once have they changed their price or shipping cost. These are all semi-rare cards, but the actual shipping cost is catching up to the price they originally listed. Eventually, I might go after some of them b/c the shipping price will finally be correct.
Oh, and tntnorthnj was one mentioned recently in another thread that I also won't use again.
There are too many good sellers to single out any specific ones to me though! Ask your closest friends on this site about any specific seller and you'll get good feedback about them and therefore good advice.

I actually check with members on here to see if anyone has a lot of what I need because they are usually willing to work with you on keeping shipping cheap if you are looking for inexpensive stuff. If you can't find a good match here then I would probably just say go with something big enough to fill your needs in one order so you don't have to keep paying for shipping multiplr times.

as noted above, it would be helpful to know what kind of stuff bob is trying to buy( approx years/sport) to be able to give a specific opinion rather than a general opinion
