When setting up my boxes for shows...very premature but as i go through the cards I want to go ahead and have my kids putting them in order... And I know it is really up to me but i want to know how you all like approaching a table with cards

the base cards will just be in year, set order

the rest will be in alphetical order 

But i can change how i do it to how people prefer it..

please give your input

FWIW, I'd prefer everything to be sorted first by brand, then by year, then by number (or letter, where applicable).  If you have stars separated from commons--fine.  But I'd still like to see the same order kept.

Just at the Expo this weekend and 2 different dealers at different tables mentioned how they will be going in the future to binders with the cards in order. When people go through boxes they can replace the cards out of order. The Binders prevent this mess. Don't put them back to back but 9 to a page, and you can fit 2 or more depending on the brand of page into a pocket. After a show or day just replace any blank spots with more copies of that card.

Cards in binders! Having been at shows in the distant past I have found that the card that is in slot 9 will propably get damaged as people turn the pages. Some venders left it empty or had cards of little or no value in that slot. That is if you go the binder route.

Cards in boxes are sure to get mixed up. As a collecter I found boxes of cards frustrating.

I like this idea... just all the up front cost for binders and pages but cost money to make money
