I have some hockey cards from the 2010s that I'm looking to trade for Yankees. I have 12 cards from 2016-2017 Upper Deck that are on your wantlist: 259 260 273 283 286 293 305 347 357 396 420 450. I've never traded on here before so I'm not quite sure how you do it.I also have some random stuff from SP authentic and UD masterpieces if your interested.

I did something like that a few years ago and found this lot have many cards that had 14 copies of and was like, really! I have been trying to dump some of them on eBay to get rid of them. I really don't need 14 copies of a card. It is something I will probably never do again because it took over a year to sort them out and merge them with my existing collection of over 100,000.

Finally had time to go through box #11 - 4,909 cards from 28 different sets. About 40% UD commons with a mixture of OPC Premier, Classic, and Score cards. Was able to add about 50 cards to the PC with some late 90's and late 00's rookies. Seller has been consistent with pulling out super star cards. Have yet to find: Gretzky, Messier, Sakic, Federov, Lidstrom, Lemieux, or Lindros in the Hoarder Lot. Once again, I had the joy of going through early 90's Score Canadian to separate Bilingual v. English cards.
46,675 cards with one box to go, should clear 50,000 by the time I"m done. Final box is entirely early 90's hockey. Not expecting to pull any gems.

Finally through the last box of the Hoarder Lot. Box 12: 5,032 cards from 32 sets mainly from the 90's; mainly the same sets found in other boxes, some near complete sets, and will have to mix and match sets from other boxes. Now comes the fun of organizing 7 boxes worth of hockey cards, deciding what I am keeping and what sets I want to complete before selling. The seller promised 40,00 cards.
Grand total was 51,707 with (unfortunately) two-thirds of the cards from the 90's.

From the Hoarder Lot, I was able to add almost 2,300 cards to the PC according to my spreadsheet. Not sure why the number is so low, since I have 4 rows of a 5,000 count box completely jammed with cards ready to add to binders.
In addition, I have about 7 near complete Topps/UD baseball card sets from the late 80's/early 90's. Now I'm starting to consider collecting baseball.
While going through the card lot, I was also able to make a number of trades for baseball and hockey: 204 cards added; 146 cards traded, not including cards added to the PC through trades.
Overall, a good purchase as far as I'm concerned, just too many cards from the 90's for my liking.

Final post from me on this thread. Just over 2 years since I purchased the Hoarder Lot. After a number of trades, thanks to the fantastic members of this site, I was able to complete a number of sets from this lot. I have sold 18 complete sets and am now in the black on this purchase. Sets sold in 2020 (with lots more to sell):
1989-90 O-Pee-Chee (330 cards) x2 |
1994 Classic (120 cards) |
1990-91 Bowman (264 cards) |
1994 Ultra S1 (250 cards) |
1990-91 Upper Deck (550 cards) |
1994-95 Upper Deck McDonald's (40 cards) |
1991-92 O-Pee-Chee (528 cards) x2 |
1995 Classic (100 cards) |
1991-92 O-Pee-Chee Premier (198 cards) |
2013-14 Upper Deck Black Diamond Base (100 cards) |
1991-92 Parkhurst S1 (220 cards) |
2016-17 Upper Deck Base - S1 & S2 (400 cards) |
1991-92 Pro Set S1 (340 cards) |
2017-18 Upper Deck S1 (200 cards) |
1991-92 Upper Deck (700 cards) |
2017-18 Upper Deck S2 (200 cards) |
Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase, as long as I can continue to sell and trades cards from the lot. No need to track the for trade/sale separately in Hoarder lot collection anymore. Time to reorganize my collection on this site again.

Wow, I'm impressed. Congratulations on your success. I've always wanted to acquire a huge lot like this. But I'm currently working on a somewhat similar project--I'm inventorying, organizing, completing/bindering all of my own cards that I've acquired from childhood through the present. It's slow going because I'm very picky about how I organize my cards in my binders but at least it's moving forward with the assistance of TCDb.
