I remember a thread in the past where everyone was stating some fo their 2018 goals. I remember wanting to do this, but alas, it is November of 2018 and I still have not set 2018 goals. I am going to try to commit to making 2019 goals. In the meantime, now that we are within 35 days or so from year end, I was wondering. How did everyone who set 2018 goals do? Also, has anyone set any 2019 goals yet? I always think it is interesting to hear them and it might help me set mine!

So...you're saying a goal for you for 2018 is to set goals for 2018 before the year's out?

That's the thread you are talking about. I did pretty awesome for my 2018 goals. As for 2019, I have set no goals at this point.

Looks like my 2019 goal(s) will pretty much be a continuation of my 2018 goal.

I'm going in to 2019 with specifically zero goals. After the 2018 goal, I need a break! In case you don't feel like reading the other thread, my goal for this year is to get at least one new card every day of the year, which I am calling my card of the day project. It was fun until about May. Then it became a slog. Now it's a chore, and it's actually taken the fun out of getting new cards. But I've come too far to quit now. I know I will never attempt this project again, that's for sure.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I moved my 2017 goals to 2018 and still have not made them. So there will be no goals this year. Only the hope that I will do better that the last couple of years.

My main goal this year is to get the rest of my collection logged on here. I’m probably about 40% done

I should make that a goal. I think I'm way less thatn 40% though.

Thoughit took some time, it was the best thing I did when I first joined this site. And then maintained it so that it stayed 99.9% accurate even when I needed to add moe cards. I encourage everyone to take the time to do this, but in an organized manner so that they are not redoing sets when already done. That means organizing your collection first, be it by player or by team or by company, year, set, and number. And yes, keep your keepers apart from your traders.
Though I am still hoping to reduce my OPC cards needed down by another 100, my 2019 goal will again to be to pare it down some more, hopefully to below 700 by the end of 2019.
I also hope to complete the 1973, 1974 and 1976 Topps sets (about 70 cards needed).
As for reducing my 400K pile of traders by 25%, no I didn`t achieve that but I did send out over 5,000 cards. Unfortunately I added about 10,000 in a lot I bought. Oh well.

I used to make goals, mostly connected to my blog, but I didn't really hold myself responsible and if I missed a goal I was indifferent towards it. I do have some sets I would like to work on and pretty much every year I say I want to stay within a set budget.
