It appears where I have hit a point in my PC. I have gotten all the real cheap cards within my limit that I have set for each card (common, jersey, Auto, SN or player.) I'm rising that limit and now I going to be more picky on what cards I buy. Which way would you go?
1. Ahman Green I need 46 more cards of his to reach 1000 cards.
2. Have several players that I need only 3 or 4 cards then I have all of their cards but harder to find and higher priced.
3. sets do I finish set (not the hold set just the players I collect in that set) several need 1 or 3
4. Go for cheaper more jerseys or Autos
5. Pick a player and work only on him.
6. Look harder for cheap cards. Wait for people to drop their prices.

How many different players do you collect? Have you considered adding another, just to occupy yourself when the good stuff of your main guys is unavailable or overpriced?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I would pick 2 of the items to work on this coming year, then work on a different two the year after for some variety.
and I am not sure how challenging it is keeping up with new guys that come out of your college and go pro?

Oh, I forgot you are a Nebraska guy. I was thinking Packers guy when I read Green's name. Your options would certainly be a lot more limited. Sorry about that.

My PC is any / all players from Nebraska (football). 796 diff players, my want list here is over 17,400 cards. There is a lot more oddball cards out there that I need (not list here) Ahman Green and Ameer Abdullah has the most cards close to 3,000 cards each. Then Ndamkoung Suh is next with over 2,200 cards. over 500 of them only have 10 or less cards and most of them just Nebraska issued sets. Ahman was an example but would like to get to that goal.
I have enough players and cards need. I think people think Nebraska collector will pay what ever is asked.
Yes my list is tough and think which way I should go.
By now everyone here should know I'm the Nebraska Cornhusker here. The lady's VB team just did not have enough to finish it out on Saturday.

Think about each of your options. If you were to accomplish each of them, which one of them seems like it would be the most satisfying/happiest/fun (you pick the criteria). That's the one you go after

A man has to have goals — for a day, for a lifetime — and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."

Myself, I would go with #2 to finish off some players and also try to add in some Green's along the way.

Billy: That has been the way I have been going. For the reason you have stated. I just been getting frustrated at all the overpriced commons. Looking at all my options as I rise my buying limits. throwing the net wide takes time.
Bob: You know I have alot of cards you can use. You just need to get more Huskers for me. The upper deck cards you have that shows up that I need you will need to veryify which Holofoil logo is on the back. You know that issue diff logos on the back.
Splinter_9: I have picked a couple of sets that I plan on trying to pick up as they will be very satisfying to complete. (set I mean the all the player in that set)
Spazmatastic: Always looking at Greens. and will look a little more at a couple of older players that I normaly do not look for.
Mark: Yes I 'm going to do that a little more then what I have been.
Thanks for the input and the messages.
