If you send a small trade with a PWE your fine. But if you send a yellow envelope or have to fill out a custom declaration on your package. Your on hold. The government shutdown in the usa means no custom office are open and your package is getting nowhere fast. I have run into this problem with sandyrusty and his cards are not getting to him till this BS ends. I found this out when I went to the post office today to find out where his cards are. Always keep your receipt till the trade is completed. 

I shipped cards on Tuesday on a sale to Canada and they arrived today. A customs declaration was needed as it was a large package. Maybe it went in under the wire. 

Thanks RJ.  Don't worry, I can wait.  Just a relief to know where it is at.  Of course there will be the back log as well.

My wife took karsal's Cards to local Post Office yesterday in PWE. They wanted $10 to ship and Customs Paperwork. I live in TN and drive a truck for a living. I stopped at a Post Office in VA today and mailed for $1.15. My local Post Office knows me as the Baseball Card Guy. When he recieves his Cards with no issues I will be following up. I mailed a like PWE two weeks ago to karsal for $1.15 at my local Post Office. Some people like to create a problem when there is really just not one there.

Interesting, maybe they are are just bypassing the customs office to keep the mail flowing. I know the package I sent got there the day before the shutdown. He told me it was logged in, but was never logged out. So now  it's sitting in the office, with no one there to pass it on. 

There seems to be a lot of inconsistency. All PWE's from the US are getting to me. Some bubble mailers are getting through but I still have a lot that must be held up because they are late.

A deal that came together today was just put on hold as it will certainly need a customs tag.

No issues sending anything southbound.

Just got a message from pjdionne12 that my packaged is being held up according to tracking.

Curious, do you think this is impacting outside US/Canada? I sent something priority to the UK in December, tracking said it left O'Hare, but no update about it landing on the other side. Would US employees be doing customs in other countries or would it be people from that country?

Yes it worked just fine.

I received a large box that surely required customs from England yesterday, and got a PWE from Kari this week. I am not sure if he got the cards I sent yet, they were in a small bubble mailer and did have a customs form. I also sent a box to Bevans but I don't know if that has arrived yet, either.
