Nah, remember it's only the weight of 9 cards and a 9 pocket. I think the 3 holes will hold, they are pretty tough. Now if the whole binder falls, that's different....can't go anywhere though because 1 shelf is above another.

Heads up !
Staples, just bought 1" D rings with a coupon. Got 12, all different colors for $7.00 bucks. Great for smaller collections or special collections.
What? another coupon, heading back today to buy more. BTW, pockets inside and view all front are nice features.

I find that Wal-Mart 3" D ring are a nice price, and can confortably hold a complete set from 400 to 600 cards.

Spaz,
There is a card store at the Batting Cages on High Point Rd. just off the corner of Merritt Dr. in Greensboro. Appropriately named "Cards at the Cages".

5 bucks just got me 10 more binders. Going to stockpile while I have a chance.
2 trips to Staples, netted 22 binders for 12 bucks....just call me frugal. Wonder what I should put in the pink ones?

I do know about that shop, but I've never been there. It's a good 45 minutes away using US29 and I-40 at 55 to 65mph. And I work in the opposite direction. There are 2 Target stores much closer than that and Avery binders work just fine for me. I don't even know if Cards at the Cages sells binders or pages. I've checked out their website several times and it seems geared towards the kids that would go to the batting cages next door. Lots of Pokemon-type stuff. I'm not making that long trip to find absolutely nothing I want to buy there. The few times I was in the area and thought about stopping in there were after they closed for the day or I didn't have time to stop.

Bob, enjoy the cheapo 1" binders! I am also pretty frugal, but I wouldn't spend my money on 1 inchers. It takes way too many of them to hold a decent amount of cards. I prefer the 3" binders for my cards. I have a bunch of 4" ones I got from work, but I'm not liking those so much now. Once they get full, they are really heavy!

See, the 1-1 1/2" "cheapos" are perfect for my small collections, and I have many of them. The color selection [10} also works for me in color coding. Layem', Standem' or Hangem' - good stuff ! We say it many times here, we all collect differently.
