Since I ordered the new scanner I went through the boxes of To be Scanned cards, which is everything I set aside because it was already done on here. After a massive 4-hour sorting session tonight, as I was putting them away, I realized it was probably the last time I will do that with the cards not sorted in any way other then how they got put into the boxes. I went through them to pull out all the mirror foils, Finests and etched foils, to do them before the new scanner gets dust and junk under the glass, making these difficult to scan cards even worse.
It was the 4th time I've been through them all, but this time was by far the fastest (still 3 days)....it really drove home how close I am to finishing the scanning project.
I estimate I have around 500 days of scanning left ahead of me to finish my NBA collection, and about 200 to do everything else that needs it. I have no idea what I will do with my time after that. That's still a ton of scanning that I need to do, but I'm well past halfway now, probably closer to 3/4ths done.
New scanner may show up as soon as tomorrow.
VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards.
