I'm focused on putting my PC in order so I've brought several players' collections with me on my latest trip to NJ. One of them is Moises Alou, and as I'm going through his cards I realized an interesting bit of information.

I remember Alou with the Cubs, Expos, Marlins and 'Stros; completely forgot about his time in SF. Great catch and very interesting history. Keep it in the family right?

Remember that he broke in with the Pittsburgh Pirates, for whom his uncle Matty played.

Can you name the 4 Alou brothers who played MLB in the '60's?
I'll post the answer a little later today.

I just recieved 100 football cards from COMC. I spent 2 days putting them in my binders. when doing so I did a little moving around other cards. It was a very fun 2 days. Looking at cards I have not looked at for a while. When I get some time I will be asking for some information about a couple of sets.

I'm going to throw out a wild guess without searching because I saw this awhile back, but chose not to collect the 4th brother since he didn't really have a MLB career. The 3 I know are: Felipe, Matty, and Jesus, and the 4th I'll guess is Jose or Marcos.

Commish; Player Collections, I also have but don't collect, I mean as a special collection. Probably 10 Monsters devoted to past and present stars. All makers, years etc. ex. Ripken, I bet I have 100 different cards from a non-collection. Ryan, Griffey, McGwire, Canseco, O.Smith and endlessly on.

Matty Alou, Felipe Alou, Jesus Alou, and Boog Powell, he changed his name, because he didn't want to be known as Boog Alou.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
