Anybody remember what their first jersey card was? Mine was a '99 Upper Deck Chipper Jones.

That was an awesome card to pull, KMack!
I believe my 1st one was a 2004 Upper Deck Vintage card of Barry Zito. He might have been the second one though. I know I pulled 2 JSY cards from blasters of that product. But I think Zito was the 1st one.

Here is the first one I ever pulled. I was just coming back into the hobby after a few years away. I was blown away when I saw this card, I had never seen one before. Honestly, I still get a chuckle and a thrill when I pull one of these cards.
The only ones I don't care for is when the team identified on the card does not match jersey/sweater color in the relic. There was some feller who had been traded from the Islanders to the Maple Leafs, the card pictured him in his Leafs gear but the relic was orange clearly from an Islanders sweater.

Agreed Gunny, that makes the company look like idiots in my opinion. Just sayin. =)

Did not see that post, my fault for the redundant post. Sorry jasongerman9, did not mean to take away from yours.

I still like them. Not sure why. I don't necessarily trust the manufacturers, and I never assume the swatch is what it claims to be, but I still like them.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I honestly can't remember the first one that I pulled. I have a Ben Wallace card from 03-04 Black Diamond that may have been the first one. I used to have an Edgardo Alfonso jersey card from 2003 Fleer Tradition I believe, and I also had a jersey card of Luis Gonzalez with a swatch from his jersey from the 2001 Home Run Derby. It was definitely one of those three.
I only still have the Ben Wallace card, as I stupidy threw away a lot of my baseball cards. I did not expect that I would find myself collecting cards again years later. I haven't been able to even find that Luis Gonzalez card here, out of curiosity anyone know which one that is?
And as far as my excitement of jersey cards, I really don't find them all that exciting anymore. I would rather find a SN or a AU.
