Today, I started my PLAYER BOXES.
Who would you rank in the Top 10? They do not need to be ranked 1-10.
I would like to list what I have for my collection and Trade/Sell list.
Thanks much, ~BOB~

Off the top of my head, for baseball I'd include: Nolan Ryan, Cal Ripken Jr, George Brett, Rickey Henderson, and (very late 80's) Bo Jackson. I started collecting in the late 80's, so I'm sure there are lots of others.

I might be slightly biased, but the greatest player from that era that ever played was the great Robin Yount. You have anything from him, I would definitely be interested!!!

Some HOFers who played the entire decade, not yet mentioned, include Schmidt, Smith, Morris, Fisk, Carter, Trammell, Raines, Baines, Dawson. Most of the decade for Carlton, Rice, Seaver, Boggs, Blyleven, Sutton, Niekro, Sutter, Sandberg, Gwynn. I'm sure there are others.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Dale Murphy should be in the hunt as a top 10 player from the 80’s.
Mike Schmidt has to be there.

Cap Ripken Jr, Nolan Ryan, Roger Clemens, George Brett, Robin Yount, Paul Molitor, Wade Boggs, Tony Gwynn, Rickey Henderson, and Don Mattingly. I'd like to add Greg Maddux but he wasn't around until mid to late 80's.

One of the best Astro Turf SS Concepcion. He earned that the ball picked up speed when it bounced, not slowed down. So from deep in the hole a short he throw it short and let it bounce into the 1st baseman glove. He credited Brooks Robinson's 1970 WS performance in making him think about it.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards
