I just tried to send an invoice to a buyer in Iowa. Ebay has a new invoice form. It forced me to charge the buyer 6% Iowa sales tax. Is anyone else experiencing this? They asked me to comment on the new form and oh did I comment, especially about the sales tax. I told the buyer to just me the money for the item and do not include tax money. Crazy

That internet sales tax is very difficult. I'm a resident of NewYork, if I'm in my condo in Virginia and buy from you in New Jersey but have the item sent to Michigan. Which sales tax do I pay?

When did this start? I was reading that because of a 2017 Wayfair court case, you don't have to have a physical presence in order to be forced to pay sales tax. Ebay will be losing a lot of smaller sellers if this persists, not that they really care about small sellers.

It looks as though I get the sales tax then have to file a form with Iowa. Not happening for 11 cents in tax.

That court case was very narrow. Now every state thinks they can charge tax on any purchase.
Last trip to Walmart I had 6 diff taxes showing on my resent.
Some time back I purchased a car in Nebraska and paid sales tax on it. When I resister it in Co. I had to pay sales tax again. They get you coming and going.

Ebay is scaming us. I have gotten sales tax on stuff I bought from CHINA!!!!

Joe, I've seen that on a my sales, but I don't ever fill out anything because I don't know what to do with it nor do I know whether what state has a sales tax for internet sales. Maybe we can tell them we'll fill out those forms on sales once Ocasio-Cortez pays her millions in business taxes owed and promised to be paid awhile back.

It is really a P/O as in Canada somre sellers charge me Saskatchewan PST on things and some do not. (but NEVER GST???) Then the D&%ks charge the 6% in USD. Scam scam scam. I quit buying from all but one, my guys in Edmonton as they sleeve and top load every card I purchase and I pick up in store.
