It's a cool spring day. I don't have to work. Yesterday was pay day.  Today was made for a trip to the card shop.  If all goes as planned, I will get the baseball segment of my Topps project down to 6 sets or less. I want to knock off 1952 today for sure. I might finish basketball.  I'm down to less than 5 there already, I think (I have a list, but not in front of me).  And I'm sure I'll fine some unplanned stuff to buy too.

Have fun.  Miss visits to the local card shop.  What there is here is not worth visiting.

For me, TCDB has become my LCS.

Hey switzr1, you just convinced me to make a trip to my LCS.  I won’t tell my wife who the bad influence was.

Ditto! I have an LCS somewhat nearby (35 minute drive down the interstate), but I've never been there. It's just the wrong direction from my usual path. I work right across the street from where one used to be, but it's been gone for about 20 years now.

Finally back home now.   Got a hobby box of Opening Day.  Quite sure it's the first current box I've bought for myself, blasters excluded, since the turn of the century.   Not an exaggeration.  I've opened maybe 1/4 of it.  It's my intent take this one real slow. I may not do this again for another 22 years!!

Have fun with the rest of the break! I can't imagine waiting so long to bust a box of any kind!!! I bust at least a few blasters each year and usually a couple of hobby boxes or more each year. Nothing like the thrill of releasing those cards from the package to see what I get, even if most of it ends up with someone else. Enjoy taking it slow!

My preference would be to roll through it fast b/c it's OD. If it was Chrome or Finest, I might slow it down. But anything new is hard for me to resist getting right into it and then having the fun of sorting and cataloging starts after that.
