I have a set of 8 trade cards, "Allyn Blanchard & Latimer's Perfect Roasted Coffee Ye Story of Bluebeard and His Wife" that are attributed to the 1880's, but that is as close to a date that any referance magazine or checklist gives.
For these, can I list the decade, 1880's for the year? How do we handle these old sets that don't have a specific year known?

Billy is mostly right about that. If you can't nail down a specific range of years, only Admin can give permission for inclusion to the site CL's and update it when more info is available. More research seems to be needed though.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

That shouldnt be happening or at least it shouldnt be allowed. Ive done exhaustive research before adding a checklist. If you dont know, make your Excel list and wait to upload it until you're sure.

As others have said checking with Admin and getting hts blessing is the way to go. Normally an exact year of manufacture would be needed, However since this is early vintage 1880s finding an exact manufacturing date might be near impossible.
