I've had no issues with trading with him. In fact, I owe him cards..
That said, I know different things come up. I had a spell for two or three months where I couldn't even look at this site without panic attacks. Lead to my first negative feedback..
When I'm in a good head space, communication is easy. When even doing the simplest things wear you out completely, it's not so easy.

I am going to address BOBSCARDZ and Mike67 and this will be my final post on this forum (I didn't mean to open this can of worms) I don't know Shawn's Doubles personally I just know my trade experience with him was not positive at this point.
BOBCARDZ says "cut him some slack" Seriously??? just because you know him personally and understand his situation doesn't mean that everyone does. I can only base my opinion on my dealings with him. If he had contacted me and told me there was issues we probably could have worked something out, but he did not. How am I supposed todeal with this other then how I did?
Mike67 I understand that life happens but non-communication does not help. I am fairly new here but if there is an issue I always at least communicate with the party I am trading with and try to work things out. without communication I have no options other then to post feedback. Not just to be fair to myself, other traders but to the party involved since I have no other way to get his attention at this point.
Now all that being said those of you who don't agree with how I handled these two cases are free to hold that opinion but please stop acting like I am not being understanding. If because of this you choose not to trade with me I will never know but am okay with it. Everyone have a great day and may all your trades be smooth and easy.

I agree with every word. Had issues myself. Wish there was a way to block people as I had issues and still receive proposals from him.

Jim, don't worry. In my view, you did everything right. When you saw issues with other members in trading, you asked the rest of the membership. We all gave you our own experiences with these and what we thought. But I totally agree with you - negative factual feedback is the right thing to do. How will others know to use caution if we don't follow upon our trades by leaving feedback.
I would gladly trade with you if we have something to exchange (I haven't looked).

You are all right, just give him negative feedback! Pretty much the state of the World today, don't like something, buy a gun and start shooting. You asked the membership, alot are ready to "shoot", but a few, don't our words mean anything, he is not my buddy, just a human being with multiple issues. We our vouching for him, rather you believe he is right or wrong....probably he is wrong, but reasons go beyond mailboxes and landlords.

Whoa there, Bob. Comparing leaving someone a negative feedback (after waiting more than 2 months, and reading others' opinions for 2 days) to shooting someone is completely over the top.
You're right in the fact that Shawn's a human being, but so is Jim. And Shawn is the human that failed to fulfill his end of an agreement. An agreement between 2 humans. That makes one human at fault for not living up to his end. A negative feedback won't end his life, or maim him. Yes, it'll probably mean he'll have to send first in most trades going forward. That probably should have been the case with him anyway.
I hope Shawn;'s okay, but by June 1st (which was the last time he logged in here) he should have notified Jim the status of the trade and if he was having issues getting his end out, he should have said something. He had PLENTY of time (like ALL of May).

In my mind leaving negative feedback for this one transaction and giving him a break are two seperate issues. In this particular trade I see no problem leaving negative feedback. It is warranted. Now, if anyone wants to give him a break and still trade with him in the future that is fine and not tied to one trade where he didn't fulfill his part in a timely manner.

Jmkidd, you do what you think is necessary. I contacted him and told him about this. It's up to him now, I don't know what exactly is going on. But I have seen members leave negative feedback, then positive because he took care of the problem.

Ridiculous response, Bob. The state of the world is more like refusing to accept responsibility for one's actions. You're ignoring the fact that Jim has tried to communicate with him and that it was fruitless, so he said he would give negative feedback but would amend it if Shawn came through. So Jim is showing mercy.

Bob, maybe if you said WHY he should be given a break, it might clear things up. Did his house burn down? Is he in jail? Did he lose his job and can't afford postage? He won't say. You won't say. Billy seems to know something, but he didn't say. I presented some facts that Shawn mentioned in the forums a few months back. You say that has nothing to do with it. Maybe if you or Billy communicated with Jmkidd by private message, that would help. I'm not saying to air his dirty laundry to the whole group, but people who want sympathy can't expect it if the other side doesn't know that something is wrong.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
