Absolutely a fantastic idea, it needs to be added to the voting area I'd say K-Cards!!!

I agree with you guys. First in queue should get the scans loaded, as long as they are acceptable. They shouldn't be trumped by other members with higher permissions. For those that don't know, I'm a Level 8 member. But I'd much rather have someone who uploaded the scans first get the additions and the points associated with adding the scans. I'd love to see a "Scans Pending" mark for cards in the queue! Then I'm not also wasting my time scanning cards that have already been scanned. I can then move on to the next ones that need scans. Whomever uploaded them first should get the spots, no matter the level of permissions! If that was added to the suggestion list for voting, I'd vote for it. All the L8's already have enough stuff to deal with now. The less scans I need to add, the more other stuff I can deal with on here.

I agree - if it was the first one uploaded, it should be posted, not the first one approved. I would vote favorably for this as well.

Why wouldnt all scans need to be approved? I mean good grief, I see 70s topps back scans with wax stains on them. That seems more noticable than cropping.

They were approved - just they were apporved by the submitter (most likely).
If the wax stain is bad enough that the card is not readable, it can be removed as "incomplete" since the complete card (as it was intended) cannot be seen. If it's just a darkening in a spot, the image would still meet the guidelines, and your only option then would be to replace it (without removing it first). Now that the photo enlarging has been introduced, hopefully we can get a lot of images replaced with bigger, better scans.

Theres a difference between a bad scan, and a perfectly good scan of a card in bad condition (i.e. wax stains)
Also, it would take several people to keep up with approving every scan. Just picking some random page of recent scans, i counted between 5:38 and 5:52 PM yesterday, there were 102 scans added.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I recall having to be as precise as possible when submitting scans, and had my share of rejections, and with Billy's recommendation of a certain photo editor is made life easier. But I bring that up because as I'm continuing to do my inventory I keep seeing scans that show the black line when a card is a tad crooked or not cropped as closely. Does Admin expect (or hope) those get replaced?

If you see one try to recrop it. I wouldn’t suggest anyone go hunting, just when you happen upon one
