Hmm. Kind of like those that only have scans of the front or the back?

Naturally we would all like NRMT, however really a dream. I will upgrade cards but only if they fall in my lap,
So in short. condition isn't a huge factor so long as i have the card, even half a card....lol!

I can't tolerate damaged modern cards. Pretty much any thing newer than 1985 with damage goes in the trash. There are some exceptions. Old cards, I'm not very picky.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

My collection is neither mrmt nor complete so either option would be an improvement to me. However is the a way to mark cards that you have but want to look for that card in a better condition?

Use Detailed Add, put condition in there and add it to your wantlist.

The card Billy is talking about is completely missing the back surface. The front is complete though.

My answer to the question is pretty loaded with if's. I am not a set collector, but I am a team collector and a player collector. Just using STL Cardinals baseball cards for my example: I'll take any condition for something older than about 1960. From there to 1980, anything without creases is preferable, but doesn't mean I won't get one in hopes of replacing with a better one later. From 1980-1990, nothing worse than rounded corners or off-center will be accepted. Anything after that must be in much better condition. Then there are cards like the Ozzie Smith 1979 Topps rookie card. There were 2 reasons I didn't get one until 30 years after the release (besides being 1 year old when it was made). #1 is the price they cost for one in the condition I wanted was more than I could afford (or wanted to spend on a single card) for many years. And #2 was because I refused to get a low-condition copy of the card. My patience in acquiring that card paid off in 2009 when I was able to trade for one with sharp corners and edges, nearly perfectly centered and no creases or even surface scratches. I've been tempted to get it graded just to see if it gets a 9 or higher. But I accepted a 1979 Topps Lou Brock card around the same time that was pretty beat up, just so I had the card. Then I upgraded it a year or so later in another trade. I gave the beat-up card to my nephew b/c I knew he'd love having something almost 30 years older than him. And he still has that card in the case and team bag it was in when I handed it over. Condition for me is on a case-by-case basis. I hate creases, but I don't mind off-center or rounded corners. So it really just depends on how bad I want the card at the moment I come across it.

As long as it's not to beat to death, getting the last card to complete a set is the winner. We all know that feeling of the last card and you can't beat it.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

How much room is there in the detail add. I was told to use that for prices I paid now this...seems we waste so much time adding features that are in my opinion a waste of time but those things I want I’m told just use details. Seems having a list I can print off with those cards I want in a better condition would be actually helpful since this is a collection site. Same with what it cost me to get a card. Neither as far as I can figure can be printed off by themselves. If they can then tell me and I’ll remove my objections.
