So recently my mom has asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Usually I just say "a non-challenged pug", but I've had four of them now and they're all challenged beyond belief lol
My current scanner is an all-in-one and I'd like to get one of those CCD Scanners for cleaner scans and hopefully takes up less room.
I'm asking what does everyone reccomend? Not looking for something extreme in needs or price. Thanks!

The HP Deskjet 2050 is what I use, and it works great on even holograms and chromium cards.

I use a epson flat bed. It's small and portable. Originally got it for scanning stuff for work while traveling. Works better than my all in one for sure and it's not too expensive. Mine is the older version of:
Epson Perfection V19 Flatbed Scanner - 4800 dpi x 4800 dpi

I use an Epson Perfection V600. It can do anything, but it is a little finnicky. My brother got this one for me for Christmas (although delayed, due to the original present not working out, so I didn't get it until February or March) this year and I've already done more than 2500 scans on it, and I went more than a month without scanning anything and spent several weeks away from home.

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. I just subscribed to this thread so I can follow the responses. My current scanner is an old HP Scanjet G3110, and it does an okay job with graded or encased cards but it's horrible for chrome or foil cards. I'm thinking about upgrading it.

Epson V37 or V370 for quality.
Most don't like it but I like my Epson ADF for 1000s of cards in a blink! for quantity.

Ive had 6 scanners so far and by far the V series kicks but for its in depth scans and ability to scan in 2+D (buttons, hotwheels bottoms, etc) and use by business all in one (brother) for the standard cards. I need to all in one for printing plans and such but if were to put the hammer to rest Id likely ditch it.

I'm with you, I still have a half dozen scanners, all work, but I don't like them, every make made. I'm starting a warehouse....can't tradem' , can't sell em',,,,hate to put them at the curb. BUT I just read somewhere that Staples accepts lotsa stuff as recycling offers and you can actually get something in return. Worth a look.
