Today has been a really frustrating day for cards.

1. I lost an ebay auction for the simple reason that I forgot to bid on it. (8 of the 10 cards would have been people missing from my collection).

2. I dropped my smart phone on the oversized rookie card I pulled from a blaster of 19-20 Upper Deck yesterday, leaving a big scratch on the front. (luckily, I was able to scan and post it before that happened)

3. I wanted to do a surprise PIF and forgot to mention it was supposed to be a surprise, so the recipient ended up finding out about it.

4. COMC either swiped a card or lost it, but I had been looking forward to getting my first autographed lady hockey player card when my order arrived next week. Instead, no, they say sorry but I don't get my card. How convienient that the other copies of the card on there are more than I had paid for mine...it can't be replaced because it's serially numbered and a had a unique patch.  I hope it's inpetitude instead of shady business. I suspect they sold it on Ebay for more than I paid for it. This is the card if anyone sees it come up for sale. I consider it stolen unless I get a real good explanation.

I'm getting really close to being done with COMC. Them not delivering what I paid for might just be the last straw. 

Oh, and did I mention, I also had a root canal this morning, where the novacaine wore off during the drilling, and am hurting in 9 different places? In addition to the usual pain that I live in 24/7? (I mean different in both number of places and places that don't usually bother me...much) Ugh. It's getting harder and harder for me to pretend I'm happy, and now today the one thing that brings me pure happiness is not. 

I'm not touching any other cards today.

Hope you feel better, and hope tomorrow is a better day.  I would think if they sold it on Ebay, it would be under the sold listings but I can't find any on there of that card. 

I haven't been into cards as much lately, but it seems COMC is changing a lot lately.  I'm not big on their big announcement of auctions.  I wasn't a fan the last time they tried rolling it out either.  I can see myself stop going there in a couple years, but honestly its the only site I buy cards from right now.

I tweeted COMC on it on Twitter...rather nastily. They are making it right. I am impressed with how they handled it. I came at them with a lot of frustration and anger and they totally defused me. 

Yep that's a rough day. I've never heard of that happening on COMC before. I've used them a ton over the years and have found great finds/deals. I see they recently upped their shipping charges again though so it's getting to be you have to wait until you find a good stash of cards before placing a singles order. Sometimes I just get distracted by other purchases though and end up buying less and less through there. Tomorrow can't be worse!

Sorry things have been rough today Billy. Hopefully they start to turn around now that COMC has at least addrssed one of those problems. They "lost" what would have been the oldest hockey card in my collection, this Bert Olmstead Parkhurst card I purchased a couple years back. I guess someone realized that the card was too nice of shape to sell for under $10. Possibly someone working at COMC

Billy, sometimes life sucks.  But fortunately, as human beings, we are very resilient.  We bounce back when we are down, see the positives of life, put a smile back on our face, and get back at it.  You are a true example of this.  From your odd posts, knowing only a fraction of what you have had to live through, you are still a very positive individual.  Your avatar shows you in the most positive way.  If we could all smile like that most of the time, the world would be a better place.

Thanks guys. I'm not going to let it stop me from enjoying the hobby. I have a huge stack of hockey scans I plan to label today, then on to the car stickers Kari sent me. 

I do try to stay positive, I can get to a dark place very quickly and that's no good. I don't always succeed but I always try. 

As a bonus I woke up today with no real pain in my jaw for the first time since September? August? I don't even remember when.
