Below you will find a link to a trade between myself and Wayne (T206). Wayne and I have been trading partners for 10 years, going back to the days we were both at Beckett. Right now he is back out on the oil fields working and he has given me permission to post our trade on the forums. Really we are looking for help and any info on what the post office down in Texas told him.  In the trade communications, you can start at the bottom and work your way up, you see the problem he is now facing. What the heck? A bubble mailer costs $70 to ship now to Canada?

Hmm didn't anticipate that....here is our messages. If you count the 1 card Wayne mentions he is sending 36 cards in a bubble. I ended up sending him 45 cards.

I think that post office is full of it. If it is your only option Wayne put it on the back burner. I know it is good and my inventory has them as in transaction so they won't be duplicated in another trade. I am going to put your message up on the forums if that is ok with you...I know you are out in the fields and probably pretty damn busy. Maybe somebody (like Spaz) will know what is going on. Sent: Tue, 6/2/2020 2:10 PM Ryan I just got out of the post office and I was floored at the cost to ship to Canada. 68.90 usd it’s going to be that way until September. I have no problem waiting. Question is can you wait as well until the prices go down? You and I have traded for years and I don’t want this to make either one of us upset at each other. What the post office said customs are short handed and nothing is going to Canada or any other country and it goes for the same from countries shipping to the US

As I pull cards out for trades in my books I replace it with another card from that year I am doing 2009 replacements and 2008 i hope to start today. I'm going to have a couple things going to Canada soon enough, and I'll see what's up in the shipping method I use (PayPal). I just sent stuff to karsal and bruno last month and it was around $12 or so for a smallish bubble mailer (about 25 - 50 cards).

Ryan, I am thinking that is more of that Post Office rules as I am not far from there in Fort Hood Area and I just sent out a few packages as well as bubble mailers with about the same cards to England, Italy, Spain, Greece and a few other European countries. Most had different dates of when they were able to ship to me but all went out with no issues from local Post Office. The Bubble Mailer with 100 cards to England was more than usual but it was only $24.50 USD. nothing like the $70. so not sure why they would say to him. 

I'm not giving up when I get home I will try the post office there. 
i don't want anyone to think I am trying to scam Ryan or anyone else but I think 70.00 is ridiculous but if that's what it comes down to then I will pay it. 
they also said Canada will quarantine any and all packages coming from out of country for 14 days. 

I know you are not a scammer...hopefully nobody does. And I want everyone to know that. Our trading relationship has been pristine for a decade over many sites...I want everyone to be clear on that.

I have been getting items from the states...slower than usual but not an extra 14 days slower (with the exception of a PWE trade with Scott, Bravesfan1...that took exactly a month to arrive).

And you are right $70 is outrageous and I don't expect you to pay it. Like we talked about in our trade it will figure itself out. Not for $70 though. I think my postage was $5.75 and I sent more cards if you can believe it.

We are just looking for info on why Wayne is being told this as it would seem Edward (also in Texas) had no problems at all.

Maybe try going through pirate ship or paypal and see what they say the shipping would be.

Wayne, That is sure Crazy, The quarantine part I heard about as some of the ones I have going and recieving are beening held. so no real date of when they get anywhere. Too bad I started working this week or I could pick and send out for you out of Cove. 

Even postage from New Zealand to the States is not that bad. A tracked bubble mailer would usually be 70 NZD so about 40-45 USD.

Have been sending PWE in trades recently so not sure if this price has increased.

That price seems crazy.
