This has been irritating my OCD, but does anyone have an idea about how one should sort the Topps 1982 mismatched players (front picture of player A, back stats of player X)?

Would there be any worth to adding these as ERROR cards in the base set?

I honestly don't know if there is a place to enter these cards. Commonly called "wrongbacks", blankbacks" etc. I have plenty of these type of cards, but not sure I would list them, maybe mention somewhere as a note that there are many cases of wrongbacks in this set.

Just about every year of Topps, and even some other companies, have their share of blank backs and wrong backs. (You'll find that 99% of the wrong backs are facing the opposite orientation from the correct backs - the sheet got flipped during the printing process and that is what causes the worng back - a lot of time too, one side is cut fine and the other is mis-cut.)

These are printing errors that Admin has gone on record as saying they do not belong here. 

Possibly, for your own collection, a subset of your base set...

You have the option, when you add a card to your collection, to click "detailed add," where you could put "Campaneris back" or whatever in the "Comments" section of your card, and when you look at your collection, that note will show up on your card list for your one specific copy of that card.

You can also add your own images for your card.
