Enjoy the game Joe...RIP

One of the best former players to go to the broadcast booth, and be able to describe the action in a way that many other players turned broadcaster could not. Many fond memories of him and Tony Kubek doing the Saturday game of the week. I have a few old Tiger games recorded including the Jack Morris no hitter in 1984, with play by play men Vin Scully & Joe G. himself calling the action. Might be a good time to pop it in an remind myself of the good old days.

It's funny, I knew Joe first as a game show host from my childhood.  All the time I watched To Tell The Truth, I had no idea he was an ex-baseball player.  Found that out a few years later.

 I never knew he did  "To Tell the Truth".   I only remember the original with Bud Collyer

Collyer hosted until 1968.  Garry Moore took over until he became too ill to continue.  Garagiola was next.  Sometime in the late 70s.  Though I've seen reruns of the earlier seasons, Garagiola is the only one I actually remember.
