Some players are shown with first name only like Ichiro or Nene, so should the player's name be edited to accocunt for this?  For example 2013-14 Hoops card 111 shows Nene on the back and front of card with no mention of a last name.  The check list does show his last name.  If the guideline is to go with the name shown on the card, shouldn't the checklist only show Nene then?  Just a question.  I left the name the way it was, but didn't know what ya'll thought about it. Opinions?

 When I build checklists for the site, especially Japanese sets where there are several players doing the first name thing (Ichiro, Saburo, Ginji), I just enter their full name so they index properly and can be found.  I don't feel the need to be 100% accurate to what is on the card in that case.  My intent is that people searching can find the card, not just to transcribe what is on the card verbatin.

That is why I put the full name of Nene on the checklists I type up as well, and ignore all the variations in names Amare Stoudemire uses. (for example) I think linking the person to their listing is more important that exactly matching the card.

 I guess the important thing is as long as someone can link the name on the card to the person in the database, then first name only or first and last name being listed doesn't really matter.  Thanks.  Good points Billy and DaClyde by the way.
