While I was scanning and uploading some cards today, I came across one that made me pause. It was a card for someone I really wished my favorite team hadn't picked up a few years ago and honestly, I didn't want to be associated with uploading it here so I thought about not scanning it (I did anyway).
It got me to wondering, do any of you have a player that meant so much to your favorite team that it made you think differently about scanning them? Either in a good way, so you wanted to scan them all first, or like me, in a bad way and made you think twice about not scanning it.

Not really.. I just have guys that cause me to shudder seeing their face on a card. (I'm looking at you, Mr. Mulliniks)

I mention a year or two back that I found it really difficult to scan and upload any steroid users. I won't do it. I know others will but I choose not to. Not going to wear out my scanner on those punks.

1996 Ravens cards, with the players in Browns uniforms. I scan them but hate doing it. Andre Rison cards to a lesser extent.

Not scanned many, but I wouldn't scan, or collect any bum, and any full time DH is a bum in my book.

Well let's see, 2,330 games played. 264 started at 1st base, 1957 at DH.
Yeah, that's still a bum. I don't care how many HR's he's hit or how many fans he has. This is MLB, you should be able to hit, run, catch, and throw. Should work around a players weaknesses. If all somebody wants to see is the "long ball", they should watch softball.
Pitchers should have to take their turn at bat too. It's a flawed game otherwise.
That's just my opinion, you are entitled to yours as well.

To me it doesn't matter if hes a Hero or a Bum the card NEEDS to be scanned by someone.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh on Ortiz. Seems he didn't want to be stuck at DH, and only has 22 errors in 277 total games at 1st, so it's not like he can't play in the field.
