To be completely honest, I will add scans of any card that is listed in the Database that doesn't have scans. I don't care what despicable thing they've done as a person (whether it's drugs, rape, murder, etc.). I don't condone ANY of it, but this is the "Trading Card Database" and the database can never be complete if card scans are omitted b/c of something stupid that the subject did. Rae Carruth (NFL Panthers) had his pregnant girlfriend killed in a drive-by shooting on the streets of Charlotte, NC after he was drafted by the Panthers in 1997. He is garbage and deserved the sentence of life in prison for what he did. However, when I start adding scans of my Panthers collection on here, his cards will be added too.
I find it surprising that no one mentioned Mark McGwire in the steroid conversation. Yes, I have lots of his cards in my PC, but only keep the STL Cardinals cards b/c that is my team. When I get to McGwire, I will add every scan of every card I have that is missing from the database.
If it exists, it needs to be scanned here. It doesn't matter how much you don't like the player or anything that he/she did. This can't be the best and most comprehensive card database if we omit scanning the cards we have!

I'll say his name, Pete Rose, and to what he did, I say so what. Not only should he be let in to the hall, he should be let back in baseball.

Without completely hijacking this thread into a Pete Rose debate, I wish to add my opinion to the mix.
I grew up watching Pete Rose play baseball. I was taught that he played the game the right way. He ran everywhere he went. He got ball 4, he ran to first. He took the turn. He was playing the field, they got 3 outs, he ran off the field. He was everything good about baseball in the 1970s. He had his 44 game hitting streak while still with the Reds. I was thrilled (shocked) when I heard he signed with the Phillies. Saddened by the sub-par 1979 season, but elated at the 1980 season and World Series win. Sad to see him move on from the Phillies, but was listening on the radio to hear when hit 4,192 happened.
Then, the betting allegations. Turns out they were true. After his playing days.
Should he be allowed to coach or manage? I'm actually all for keeping him out. He has shown a propensity to think that he is above everyone else, and that the rules shouldn't apply to him.
HOF? Most definitely. If not the best hitter ever, one of the best.
If I have any of his cards that haven't been scanned in already, I'll gladly scan them.

I think it is pretty funny (or sad), how Bud Selig would not let Rose back into baseball yet he presided (with a blind eye) over the steroid era. Talk about hypocrisy.

As for Pete Rose, my personal opinion is that he SHOULD be in the HOF for his playing days. He's the all-time MLB hits leader (for now) and should be acknowledged for it. He was a great player throughout his career. As for being allowed back into the MLB, no he shouldn't. After all this time, there is no reason for him to be involved with any team.

Pete is ineligible for the Hall, as long as he is banned. That's an HOF rule, not an MLB rule. Manfred doesn't control the HOF. His name isn't on the ballot. His name can't go on the ballot. There are no write in votes.
What if Pete would admit to using steroids? I can see the heads spinning now!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I would add that Saddam Hussein, Benedict Arnold, and Justin Bieber all have cards scanned in the site. I know their crimes against humanity aren't as heinous as McGwire's because they didn't break a sacred baseball record, but the cards needed scanned and someone did it.
