@ Herkojerko, That is a very nice gesture on your part. I am a new member here @www.tradingcarddb.com and I've been overwhelmed with the amount of info that's on this website. I hope to be able to contribute here in the future. I have a lot of catching up to do... I wanna send you a few cards just for having the heart and a mindset of a genuinely good person. Can you DM me your address. If you want them that is. I don't have anything too fancy. Just be 2 or 3 random Refractor's, inserts or parallel card...
btw, Hello everyone @ www.tradingcarddb.com My name is JT and I am 39 yrs old, from Cincinnati, OH. I was heavy into collecting at a young age, just like any other #90sbaby I got hooked on trading cards during the boom. But, when collecting cards slowed down and all seemed like collecting cards was a pasttime, I seen that as an opportunity for me to continue building my collection at a fraction of the price. I remained heavy into collecting cards until my honeymoon in 2002. All of my cards were stolen from my apartment between September 7th and 15th in 2002. I had an entire closet full unopened cases, boxes, sets and packs, a huge collection of Jordan, Jeter, Griffey, Shaq, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Eagles and Boston Celtics cards(these were in boxes from Jordan IV's - XIII's and all in UltraPro toploaders) then I had all of my singles inside other shoe boxes and lastly multiple dealer boxes of all my singles and my commons were stacked in Large Uhaul boxes. They took them all!!! I found a few cards I had scattered around the house but it still makes me sick to my stomach to this day... Uhhh!
Anyhow, I just recently started back collecting again and I've been really blessed by finding some cool people within the business to help me out and teach me the ropes as a collector of today. I think I've been lucky for similar reasons that you point out.I've always tried.to pay it forward and when I had my cards I can't tell you how many times I cashed i. to help my Mother or Grandmother pay a bill. Ill never forget paying an electric bill with a 1/1 Autographed Brett Favre. When I read your post it reminded me of myself, well how I used to be that is... When i was in position to help out, I did. I wouldn't change that for anything. I think the pay it forward mentality has allowed me blessings in other ways. I just think its really cool of you to offer that gesture, so I'd like to offer that to you by sending you a few.
