So I met up with 3 other members at the monthly Ottawa card show. There, I completed 5 trades with Kari. Slipped inside the box he gave me was an aqua blue package. This morning I opened it to find the 2019 Topps Heritage Nolan Ryan boxloader card. A sincere thanks to Kari for a card that will go in my Ryan PC / display case!
P.S. More on the member meet up later.

I got a suprise in the US mail today, a letter with eleven 1973 Topps semi- high numbers with a stamp on it from Canada.
It was from our friend Bruno aka sandyrusty
A BIG THANK YOU

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

Amazing. That was sent just last week yet something sent out 8 weeks ago is still MIA. Unexplainable.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I need to praise the awesomeness of gwhy11. I just completed another Time Travel Trade with him, and just like every time before he included a generous stack of extra cards. My project would not have gotten as far as it had without him. Thanks Gary!

Just had a face-to-face PIF from NJDevils - AND not only did I get some great additions to my PC and about 2K cards, but I was treated to breakfast at a diner in Bound Brook, NJ. Can't beat that! Thanks, again, Joe. (I'll buy next time!)

Thanks to kmack for brightening my day. I spent most of the last 36 hours in bed feeling like my throat and/or head was going to explode. I finally make my way to the mail today, and there is one expected envelope (trade) and an unexpected one. Thanks for the card from my newly expanded want lists! :)
