Katia is going to hit Mexico, Irma is highly likely to hit the U.S., but Jose might actually not make a landfall at all. Bermuda is looking like the most possible chance for Jose to hit land. While it is chasing Irma, it should be pushed away from Irma and the US. It will also be pulled eastward if it gets far enough north to be pulled into the "Bermuda High" (a consistant high-pressure area over the Atlantic Ocean just east and north of Bermuda).
The "tropical system" that was originally going to be called Irma came across Florida from the west to the east, being pushed away by Harvey. The worst of it stayed just off the coast of Georgia, SC and NC. It never became a tropical system though b/c it never got a true center of circulation. It was called a "sub-tropical disturbance". It never got a single rotational center and the sustained winds never exceeded 39mph. Hurricane Harvey actually helped keep that from forming. However, it also helped Harvey pull in more moisture as it took away the moisture available between the two storms.
We are currently at the PEAK of the Hurricane Season for activity in the Atlantic Ocean, so 3 major storms isn't completely unlikely. The fact that Irma is the strongest storm EVER recorded in the Atlantic Ocean is a big concern though. There have been stronger storms in the Caribbean and Gulf, but never one this strong over the open ocean in the Atlantic.

Take care and listen to the warnings. Everyone I spoke with who flooded from Harvey said they'd never flooded before.
My prayers are with you.

welll.. I am now in the center of this dam storm.. Orlando..although i hope it will weaken a little by the time it gets here. I've been through every storm on the east and south coast since Hugo in the late '80s and i must admit, i didn't fully prepare as well as i should have for this one. that last shift inland took me off gaurd, so now i hope for the best. suppose to hit central area where I'm at around sunday going into monday- so, i have my scotch and beernuts at the ready. My wife is law enforcement and she has been recalled to go in for the night duty throughout the weekend. All i can do now is wait it out and hope for the best! Hopefully you'll see me logged back on come wednesday! if not, keep it real people and enjoy! - tony

We will all be thinking of you through the weekend and early next week as it tracks wherever it decides. Most of us here only see the storms on TV and never experience living through them. Will be looking forward to hearing that you all survived and are safe and dry.
On top of this, an 8.1 earthquake in Mexico yesterday.
And the Patriots lost. OK, there are still some good things that happen.

I was in Charleston, SC during Hurricane Hugo which seem to pale in comparison to what is on the way. Will be praying that the thing weakens even more.
Blessings,
Jason

I am not a fan of storms at all. Here in Phoenix, the summer months are "monsoon season" and heavy thunderstorms can pop up out of nowhere. When I was a kid, I used to love the rain and the storms. I would sit in the garage or on the back patio and watch in amazement.
Weather never really bothered me until we had a pretty bad monsoon season in 2014. I got stuck driving in the center of a macroburst in July, and then happened to have an adventure driving in a tiny car with a new piece of furniture crammed in the back from one end of the city to the other during a storm that broke the single day rainfall record for metro Phoenix. There was another day that same year that it took me 2 hours to get to work (I work 15-20 mins away) because the rain was so heavy I couldn't see and had to pull over. The freeway by my work flooded that morning, never seen anything like it.
Ever since 2014 unfortunately, I get serious anxiety anytime I have to drive in the rain. The good thing is that I think I may finally be getting over it. Probably sounds silly but it feels like a mild case of PTSD or something.
Anyways, living here in the desert, I am not used to much rain to begin with. The little rain we get, even in a big storm is probably laughable to most people elsewhere. The power of these hurricanes is mindblowing. The videos I have seen and the flooding they have caused is unreal to me. I can't even imagine what something like that is like.
I'm over here like "Ahhh! 1 inch of rain in an hour the intersection is ponding!" All while I am seeing photos of houses completely underwater. Crazy.
