I was looking through my cards and I came across a 1990 topps ken griffey jr but it has no back. Just blank cardboard. My question is does anyone else have any cards like that? I haven't heard that happening too much.

Do you have images of the front and back that you can post here?

Probably cut from the 1990 wax box.

If it seems like thinner cardstock, probably cut from the box cover.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I think C2C is most likely right.
The only blank-back cards from '90 Topps that I know of were those issued as part of a special 6-card uncut sheet that was included in the 1990 Topps Stickers album (http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Subsets.cfm/sid/127851).
But, those cards were printed on white cardstock. And Junior was not one of the players included.
Would be interested to know about the Griffey in question, though...

Topps cards sometimes missed the printing process on the backs (and sometimes even the fronts) and got into circulation. I remember pulling several blank-backs out of 1985 Topps wax packs (one of which was the Gooden rookie, which I didn't sell until about 15 years ago). Considering the fact that Jr was front and center on the wax box lid, there is a really good chance that the "card" you describe is really just cut out from the box. You may be able to find some other 1990 blank backs on ebay or COMC to compare the color of the cardboard. I don't know if the boxes were printed on the same cardstock as the cards (the "box bottoms" that I have do feel really similar), but it may have had a different coloration on the backs.

If the sides and corners are untampered with, probably a blankback.

I think this case has been solved. That should be worth some points.
