Hey guys,

I was posting cards to the database for the 2012 Topps Golden Moments Die Cut Chrome.

The check list shows 100 cards from 1-100. I have in my hand here card 101 (Yoenis CesPedes) and card 102 (Yu Darvish)

I cant find where there was an update or another series. Are these cards missing from the checklist or do they belong elsewhere?

An initial search on baseballcardpedia (I know not a fantastic source, but could be a lead) says that this set was exclusively available through the "Golden Giveaway" website, followed by a 100 card checklist. Perhaps those two cards were released later or separately as some sort of "Update" series?

And no, they are not listed under the 2012 Topps Update inserts/related sets link either. Just my guess that they were released later.

I would guess that your version, like the auto versions in the link above, were code card redemptions.  I think Darvish and Cespedes were both in MLB for the first time that year, from Japan and Cuba, so maybe they weren't able to appear on cards before the set deadline for some legal reason.
