I too like the 1981 Topps Baseball set; don't know why it never comes up in these conversations. But my favourite set is the 1984 Donruss set. Nicest design of the 80s by far. Clean cards and excellent photos. Had Donruss continued to make such quality cards, they might have lasted longer.

Believe it or not, I'm partial to the 68 & 70 Topps Baseball sets. Their borders are odd, and that's me in a nutshell, very odd. That's probably why I like them sets so much. These are sets that people hammered over the years, ugly design, boring, etc and I am always a fan of the underdog too. I have to agree with sandyrusty as to the 84 Donruss set photography which is really good. Just got a big lot of them in and was surprised how good it is. Have many to trade now as well which is always good.

I like the 1996 Topps Laser set. Back when I was truckin' I used to pick up packs in different states. I like the die-cut look & foil.
I haven't gotten around to entering them on here yet, but back then I assumed they would go up in value since they were so fragile.

Definitely one of my top-10 favorites in baseball and football. Those cards STILL look awesome to me. I wish I had many more than I do. They came out during my first hiatus from collecting when I graduated high school that same year. So all of mine came from trades or re-packs. If I had seen packs of them back then, I wouldn't have been able to resist buying them.

1991 Pro Set football, large set, nice layout and other than 3 autos easy to find, others would be 1990 Pro Set football, 1992 Pro Set football series 2 then everything else Pro Set

I like the Upper Deck Masterpieces sets. Football, Hockey and Baseball
