I have to admit, I haven't thought this through or even looked back to see if this has been talked about in the past to feel free to light me up if it has :)
Besides from distracting from work and whatever else we might be occupying our day from, what/if do you have any thoughts?
Just more of a curiously than anything else at this point.

I wouldn't care about Chat. But I would like Instant Messaging. I know of instances where IM would have been very beneficial.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Billy,
I see your point and i thought about that as well. It's almost that intant conversation,or maybe a bit more personal communication.
C2Cigars, One would say the same thing about the Message part of the site. Although an online/offline or available not available would be good. i agree through, an IM type service or group would be great.

Guess it's time for me to jump in! lol.
Chat would be ok with me as long as you could shut it off, turn it on.
Likewise with IM.
Both would be a nice addition.

Add it Add it Add it!!! It would be fantastic option in my world. Some call me chatty but thats beside the point!! =) I like the idea so that if people are working on something at the same time it would make it so much easier. I'm not sure what an IM is .... texting?? but I know my wife uses something like that on FB, again I do not FB. So a way of direct message would be nice. I tried texting with some fellow members but the US ones cost me money!! So I quit that in a hurry.

The more I think about this, the more i'm thinking that an actual "Chat" feature or a chat room that you could login/logoff off would be a neat idea, however the time involved to create something like might not be worth it. There are a log of IM(Instant Messaging) :) type apps out there were we could create a group type chat and be able to communicate directly that way. I'm not sure what or how involved it would be integrate something like into the site. I almost picture something that is accessed via the browser or a pop window or something similar without having to download an extension or application.

A discord server could be easily set up for for TCDB members to converse in. If there was enough participation, maybe Admin could put a link to the room on the site. As was mentioned, there are a lot of existing solutions to chat - just seems to me that it isn't the best use of Admin's time to re-invent that wheel.

I think I would actually like an IM/Chat set-up myself. I do think it would be more useful when it comes to trade offers and wants/needs for those who don't take the time to post their wantlists.
