I was going through and updating my Wantlist/FSFT through several of the SI for Kids sets/years and noticed some years are under 'Major Release' (89, 90, 93) and others under 'Oddball' (2013). I could see arguements in favor of either, but would like to see it consistent. I don't mind going through the rest of the years and identifying which are in which category, but thoughts on what they should be?

I would say Oddball.
From the FAQ:
Major Release
National, pack-based or factory set release by a major card manufacturer.
Oddball
Regional or local releases or releases by smaller and/or unlicensed manufacturers. Can also include non-pack-based or collaborative releases by major card manufacturers.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Sorry Billy, I made my decision before looking at the responses. SIK cards are definitely Oddball by our definitions.

My two cents ...
It was most definitely not my intention to start any trouble between people who are obviously significant contributors here. I understand a case can be made for either. My primary issue with the current categorizations is one of consistency, where it seems they are categorized in one group or the other depending on year. One way to resolve this is an additional set category for 'Perforated' cards and there's no need for further debate on Major/Oddball (FWIW, I would also recommend another for 'Hand Cut'.), but I don't want to disrupt the incredible efforts the community has already put into everything. Perhaps Admin can weigh in with a preference?
Major pros: contains key rookie cards of HOFers outside of the 4 most collected sports (and many rookie year issues of those), widely available, licensed
Major cons: not pack issued (which seems to be a key)
Honestly, my far bigger concern with the Multi-Sport sets is not being able to filter by sport. I would love to see a SID (Sport ID) implemented for at least the Multi-Sport category and ideally Non-Sport as well (i.e. I collect Disney/Mutoscope/High School Musical cards that feature a character golfing or pictured with golf equipment also.) I'm sure others would like to be able to filter on baseball players, football players, etc.

No troubles. Most of us don't take other's opinions or points of view personally.

No problems here. Chuck, Billy, & I disagree about certain things about this site. I can't speak for them, but I can say that I respect their opinions no matter whether I agree or disagree. We tend to agree more than disagree.
Consistency would be ideal. It shouldn't depend on the year, all SIK cards should be classified the same way. Now it's a matter of agreeing to that way.
