Thanks to some knowledgeable members, I'm going to enter my ERR/VARs in a User List. Of course these ERR/VAR cards do not meet the TCDB policy and rules. I know this is how many of you list your autograph cards.
So, PLEASE guide me with detailed directions to 1] create a User List 2] add cards to a User List 3] add scans to these cards.
I haven't used the User Lists in years and completely forgot how to do it. I made a huge "boo-boo" in trying, but we'll touch on that later or in another post.
Anyway the plan is to be able to have ALL my cards in the TCDB, when all is said and done. Also for all members to view these noncompiable cards. Moving on.
TY for any help, ~BOB~

First, before your personal ERR/VAR cards can be added to a User List they have to be in your Collection with your personal images. Otherwise, the database card image is what will display in the User List. Did you miss my Daryle Lamonica example and instructions in the other forum thread?

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Let's take the 1985 Topps #271 Tim Foli. You have 3 cards in your Collection. Two with your personal back images uploaded. So, you've conquered uploading personal card images. Yeah! But, those two cards have no personal front images uploaded. Also, which of the three cards did you add to your User List? Addiitionally, I believe cards Added to a User List with personal images will only show the front image on the User List. Try uploading the ERR/VAR side as the front image in your personal images.
Were you at this page? If so, wrong page. The database images will Add to your User List.
You need to be at the Add/Update Checklist page. And click on the dropdown menu for the one of your 3 cards that you want to be Added to your User List.

OK Chuck, I resolved a few things: 1. personal scan upload appears to work 2. I was using the Add view/ image feature, and yes I needed to add the scan to front and I also did the back. 3. I realize I only need 1 user list that I add to, so I deleted everything else. Hope you see it................
So, with this trial run the procedure is getting a little clearer. Trying it a few more times will help. I can then go back and update comments etc to update, clarify the list. If you wouldn't mind, I'm leaving on "open", you should see my 3 card sample. Hope sooooooooooooooo!

I see the three-card back image(s). I would recommend scanning at a larger resolution. You're not restricted to 250x350 for personal images, just the 1Mb file size.

GREAT! Makes me feel super. Yes greater resolution, that was an old sample I sent to Dan, I would probably scan only 1 card at a time. What do you feel would be an adequate resolution? What do you scan at?
This might work better than bucking the system. Ha, lol. Might help other members.
Oh, can you link User Lists? Just thinkin ahead.
Thanks again, ~Bob~

For personal images I set my scanner at 300 dpi, which usually comes out 1050x750. I don't think you can link Users Lists.
