Ok guys, a new release that defies all that is decent and civilized. Benchwarmers has gone the InTheGame Vault route to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Their new release has original cards, but also stamped buybacks, in three different colors. And it appears that literally any card they have ever released is fair game. Where ITG used just hits (as far as I know), BW is using hits AND base cards. If the original card is numbered, they are stamping the 25th Anniversary logo over the old number, and stamping a new SN elsewhere on the card. The SN color matches the logo color, and each color is a different set of numbers (SN1, SN2, and SN5, I think). They say there are thousands of these being rereleased. I'm seeing some of the old stuff for sale. Maybe not the real real old 90s stuff with the gaudy sportswear and the bad photography. But early 2000s base are out there for sure. What do we do?!?!?!
For the record, I don't have any of these. I'm fine with not adding them at all, since an accurate checklist would literally be impossible. I just wanted to blow some OCD minds.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Oh, wait...did he sell to Leaf? I knew he lost his deal with his print shop a couple years ago, but assumed it was all worked out since they had a couple 2018 releases. Maybe Leaf has been involved for a while if the BW site is a year behind.
Breaks of this stuff are high starting bids too.

Greatest. Set. Ever! I just clicked on the Leaf link, scrolled down to Benchwarmers and immediately began throwing money at my monitor. Never knew any such set existed. Woohoo!

They had a couple benchwarmer girls signing autographs at the Leaf booth at the 2011 National. From what I could gather, the owners of the 2 companies were friends.

Sits and watches. Because of the Vault questions I asked with the comments mostly being put with the original set and do not post scans. Not the right answer IMO.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.
